Zusammenfassung We present an open-source Python-based implementation of a digital metrological twin of array spectroradiometers. The software converts raw digital spectroradiometer output – pixel numbers and digital counts – into radiometric and photometric quantities with fully assigned measurement uncertainties. Starting from detector signals in pixel space, the software corrects for linearity, straylight, optical bandwidth, spectral responsivity and pixel number to wavelength transfer. The built-in Monte Carlo approach calculates measurement uncertainties, including correlations in terms of wavelength and other device properties. As a result, spectral and spectrally integrated quantities are obtained in physically meaningful units with full measurement uncertainty, enabling array spectroradiometers to be used as transfer standard instruments in spectroradiometry. We validate the digital metrological twin with synthetic data sets from a simulation of a spectroradiometer and demonstrate its usage with practical examples. In addition, we discuss the importance of correlations when calculating measurement uncertainties of spectrally integrated values.
