Zusammenfassung Motivation: Spiral undersampling allows for further scan time reduction as compared to cartesian undersampling. Goals: We aimed to compare reconstruction performances of cartesian and spiral sampling for several acceleration factors. Approach: Echo images were derived from an existing water-fat volume and undersampled in k-space via a cartesian and a stack-of-spirals sampling scheme. The undersampled data was reconstructed and an image-based water-fat separation was performed. Results: Variable density stack-of-spirals were shown to outperform cartesian sampling at high accelerations.
