| Zusammenfassung | Motivation: MRE can measure soft-tissue biomechanical parameters which are affected by changes in blood pressure and blood volume. Goals: To non-invasively quantify physiological changes in tissue stiffness and volume in healthy subjects and explore the relationship betweenstiffness, strain, and portal pressure. Approach: Fourteen healthy volunteers were investigated using a 3D MRI sequence and multifrequency MRE before and after a standardized meal, with imaging across multiple respiratory states. Results: Meal ingestion resulted in hepatic stiffening and splenic softening, accompanied by a decrease in liver volume and increase in spleen volume.Expiration was associated with increased liver and spleen volumes |
