Zusammenfassung
Motivation: Conventional MRI remains costly, complex and inaccessible in many regions.
Goals: Develop an open-source gradient coil with similar efficiency and inductance for a 50mT Halbach magnet.
Approach: A gradient coil was designed using open-source tools and all design steps documented. Three gradient coil sets were 3D printed and manually wound using Litz-wire.
Results: An open source gradient coil with all design steps is openly available. Three gradient coils have been implemented. Initial images are shown.
