The Simple Sample Dilution Challenge tasked us with selecting the best approach among the three proposed strategies for preparing a 1 ng/g lithium standard solution by diluting a 1000 µg/g stock solution. To assess which strategy is the best, we need to evaluate the uncertainty associated with the mass fraction of lithium in the standard solution, in accordance with the JCGM Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM).
