Zusammenfassung
Primary calibration of Seismometers at very low frequencies has become a topic of active research and development over the past few years in the vibration metrology community. Existing set-ups for calibration by laser interferometry according to ISO 16063-11 have been adapted and optimized to this specific task in several national metrology institutes on the globe. Looking at various publications that were recently published and which document the effort, a general experience is, that dynamic tilt is the most critical influence for calibration measurements around and below 0.1 Hz for horizontal calibration. This contribution shows that it is possible to convert the disturbance into a measurand and to use tilt instead of rectilinear motion to calibrate vibration sensors at extremely low frequencies.
