Zusammenfassung In floating floors, its underlay acts as a spring which decouples the vibrations of the floating floor from the bare floor. This underlay often consists of porous materials. Its dynamic stiffness is then composed of one part from the structure and one part from the air inside that structure. The latter part is affected by the airflow conditions, which again depend on material properties and on boundary conditions. Measurements of the dynamic stiffness according to the standards ISO 9052-1 and DIN EN 29052-1 are performed with open boundaries and are then converted to totally resting air inside the sample. This conversion is based on a physical model by Kraak and requires the lateral flow resistivity and the porosity of the underlay. Crispin et al. suggested a laterally extended measurement setup with a separated central measurement plate. This intends to create airflow boundary conditions like in real buildings and thereby to supersede a conversion which requires additional material data. That alternative setup will be discussed in this contribution.
