| Zusammenfassung | RF power is one of the RF base quantities and is of fundamental importance for many users. With emerging applications like e.g. 5th and 6th generation mobile networks (5G and 6G), Internet of Things (IoT), Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), establishing traceability of RF power measurements is becoming increasingly more important. One of the main challenges in RF power calibration is the development of microcalorimeters operating at millimeter-wave frequencies. Many existing microcalorimeters are using metallic waveguides as feeding lines. This paper presents a newly developed microcalorimeter at W Band (75 GHz - 110 GHz) with dielectric waveguides as feeding lines. Using a thermistor as device under test (DUT), the dielectric microcalorimeter is compared to a classical microcalorimeter with metallic waveguide feeding lines. The results show good agreement and demonstrate excellent performance across the entire frequency band. |
