Zusammenfassung One of the most accurate primary calibration methods for solar cells is the direct sunlight method (DSM), using the direct light of the sun as light source. We present a measurement device that scales the DSM method to the size of PV modules. The setup provides a light field of the size of 2.5 x 2.5 m² and is therefore capable of measuring large-sized PV modules based solar cells with an area of 210 mm x 210 mm. Technically, the setup consists of a rectangular tube with a size of 4 m x 4 m x 7.2 m, capable of tracking the sun. In addition, the PV module holder inside the tube can be tilted relative to the sun, enabling us to perform an angle of incidence measurement of the device under test. We present our first angular measurements of a half-cut solar module and a power measurement as first step towards a primary calibration of the same module to showcase the capabilities of our new setup.
