| Zusammenfassung | Thermoluminescence (TL) activated in BaSO4 and SrSO4 by Eu doping with concentrations up to 1020 cm−3 does not affect the initial strong thermally stimulated exoelectron emission (TSEE). The TL and TSEE glow curves are nearly identical without any peak shift. High resolution analysis of the precision measurements revealed only small satellite levels superimposed on principal single energy levels of electron traps which are common in TL and TSEE. The shift of term data from BaSO4 (Tmax (1 K/s) = 435 K; E = 1.08 eV) to SrSO4 (Tmax (1 K/s) = 478 K; E = 1.27 eV) correlated with the lattice constants of the common barite lattice, points to intrinsic electron traps of the volume type. Negligible retrapping is inferred for both TL and TSEE from substantiated first order kinetics formulated for TL and TSEE by spatial separation. Low electron affinities of the surfaces facilitating TSEE from the bulk of the emitters are concluded. |
