Zusammenfassung	Synchrotron radiation from storage rings provides time resolution in the picosecond range for spectroscopy from the infrared up to the X-ray region. The status of time resolved experiments at storage rings is described. Some aspects of how to reduce the pulse length of storage rings and how to increase the time resolution of experimental set-ups are discussed.
