| Zusammenfassung | A flow system for the activation of gaseous or liquid sample is described for the optimal use of the radiation source giving good counting geometry, too. Choosing a transport time of appr. of the half life of the investigated nuclide makes the measured decay rate independent of flow velocity. The determination of photonuclear cross sections needing high accuracy of measurement is possible. The radiation source used was the bremsstrahlung beam of an electron synchrotron. An absorbed dose rate of 1000 rd/min continuously produces a concentration of activity of 1 μCi/ml in destilled water. |
