| Zusammenfassung | This paper continues two earlier publications1, 2) about associated 3He-particle counting from the T(p,n) source reaction. Two different discrimination methods were applied to separate the 3He-particles: (1) from the huge number of elastically scattered protons by means of an electro-static deflection field and (2) from spurious protons with degraded energy by time-of-flight discrimination. In this way the measurements could be carried out for an energy of the associated neutrons of 250 keV. The flux density of the associated neutrons was simultaneously measured by means of a proton recoil proportional counter with pulse shape discrimination against gammas. Agreement within the estimated uncertainties was found between the two measuring techniques. |
