| Zusammenfassung | The CS3, the second primary atomic clock with vertical cesium beams, has been put into continuous operation in autumn 1992. Its construction and its overall characteristics are identical with those of CS4. In the first 150 days of operation the CS3 frequency shifts related to the C-field, the second-order Doppler effect and the cavity phase difference, and their temporal stability were measured. In the period of common operation the relative frequencies of CS3 and of CS4 agree within (25±9) · 10-15. The measured frequency instability of CS3 is 8,6·10-12 √s/τ for averaging times τ, 100 s ≤ τ ≤ 20000 s. |
