| Zusammenfassung | Ignition temperatures (ITs) of 13 pure compounds have been measured in (02 + N2) mixtures with concentration of 02 between 21 vol% and 100 vol% using slightly modified standard apparatus. The ignition temperature decreases with increasing oxygen concentration monotonously, whereby three cases are to be differentiated. If the difference between the autoignition temperature (in air) and the ignition temperature in pure 02 is not more than 50 K, the experimental data fit a linear decay well. If the difference is > 50 K, the ignition temperatures lie substantially below the values obtained by a linear interpolation. They reach the ignition temperature in pure 02 either at concentration of 02 between 30 vol% and 35 vol% or at 80 vol% at the earliest. Estimation methods as well as explanations for the different behaviours are proposed. |
