| Zusammenfassung | The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is operating a radiometry laboratory at the electron storage ring of BESSY I since 1982. Such a laboratory will also be installed at the 3rd generation storage ring BESSY II which is currently under construction in Berlin-Adlershof. At BESSY II the Radiation from bending magnets will have a characteristic photon energy of 2.5 keV compared to 640 eV at BESSY I. Thus the spectral region which is usable for radiometry extends into the X-ray region. Additionally one of the16 staight sections at BESSY II will accommodate the first PTB undulator. |
