Zusammenfassung In 2016 the EURADOS working group 12 started a project to gather reliable data concerning the behavior of active personal dosemeters used by European hospitals in standardized pulsed and hospital fields. The project is devided in 6 work packages. This paper concentrates on the work packages 2 and 3 which deal amongst others with the dose rate dependence of the response of the active personal dosemeters in laboratory tests. The results from these tests represent the basis for the following tests in realistic irradiation conditions to those in hospitals. The dependence on the dose rate was determined for 10 dosemeter types with continuous radiation of a 60Co source and pulsed radiation of the reference radiation facility of PTB. Furthermore irradiations were done with continuous radiation for a 137Cs source of the KIT and with continuous X-ray radiation selected RQR radiation quality (RQR 5 and RQR 9) of NIOM.
