Zusammenfassung For the widespread SOLT calibration scheme, the influence of raw VNA test port match on the DUT transmission parameters is investigated. It is shown that the mismatch of the passive test port directly affects the measurement result. The effect is proportional to the raw test port reflection coefficient of the passive port multiplied by the corresponding residual directivity and the residual source match of the active port. The theoretical results are in excellent agreement for a variety of experiments that have been performed in the WR-10 waveguide band. The outcome of the work asks for a reformulation of the uncertainty calculation for the transmission parameters. Especially for well-matched devices, the contribution from this effect exceeds the known influences significantly.
