Zusammenfassung Both water suppliers and customers are interested in the behavior of a water meter depending on type, service life, water consumption, water quality and demand characteristics. The focus is on the correctness and stability of the installed devices. The security of the customer against the supplier is, among other things, achieved by the fact that water meters in Germany are subject to verification. After the calibration period has expired and the meter has been removed, no testing procedure exists. This makes it difficult to make a statement about the influence of different parameters on the water meter and to evaluate the behavior of the meter under realistic conditions. The aim of the investigations was to investigate the general possibilities of making the sample approach more flexible.
