| Zusammenfassung | Patients carrying metallic medical implants are subject to specific risks during an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. Hazards are due to the interference of MRI related electromagnetic with the metallic conductor in the patient body. Numerical simulations are widely used to assess and mitigate implant related risks in MRI but measurements are needed to validate the correctness of the simulation results. Examples for the interplay of simulations and measurements in this context are discussed in the paper. |
