| Zusammenfassung | The spectral properties of commercially-available GaAlAs diede lasers have been investigated. The results show that for the use of diode lasers in interferometers some criteria, which are discussed here, must be fulfilled. The emitted frequency of diode lasers is stabilized by holding constant of coupling their parameters, current and temperature. Reproducible relative frequency stabilities of about 1 × 10-6 over some months have been attained. Interferometers with stabilized diode lasers for the measurement of length and angles are described and their characteristic features discussed with regard to their applicability in industrial metrology. |
