| Zusammenfassung | We report on an optical frequency standard based on a dye laser stabilized to the Lamb-dip of the Doppler broadened Ca intercombination line. The depth of the Lamb-dip was measured to depend dramatically on the laser power and the excitation geometry and could be explained quantitatively by calculation of the transition probability. The stabilized laser frequency could be shown to be reproducible to better than 300 Hz (Δmmmmm ν/νmmmmm ≅ 7 · 10-13) by stabilizing the same laser to two independent thermal atomic beams with the possibility to laser cool one of the atomic beams. |
