| Zusammenfassung | In this thesis a new facility named 3D Appearance Robot-based Gonioreflectometer (ARGon3) for measurements of the spectral radiance factor and bidirectional reflectance-distribution function is built up and described. The ARGon3 enables high precision goniometric measurements of diffuse reflecting materials within the whole hemispheric range above the surface of the sample. The wavelength range of the facility is 350 nm to 1100 nm. This new facility was compared with the Gonioreflectometer of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), which is used for calibration of diffuse reference reflection materials. The new measurement facility is established with the opportunity of absolute measurements of the spectral radiance factor with photodiode and with charge-coupled device (CCD) line-scan camera, the last one allows to make the measurements in reasonably short time. The calculation of the measurement uncertainty of the spectral radiance factor for both configurations of the ARGon3 facility is introduced in this thesis. The investigation of the non-Lambertian reflection behavior of diffuse standard reflection materials is presented. The reflection behavior of five different materials has been studied. The investigation of the samples is presented for three wavelengths, i.e. 400 nm, 550 nm and 700 nm, for the whole hemispheric range above the surface of the sample for four incident irradiation angles. This work contains the description of the optical properties and of the colour of special effect pigments, so-called goniochromatic effect pigments, which have rather wide application in automotive, printing, plastics and cosmetics industries. The spectral radiance factor of goniochromatic effect pigments describes the dependence of the optical properties on the geometric configuration of the light source and detector relative to the sample normal. This thesis presents studies on accurate surface colour measurements. The results of the investigation of the different effect pigments are presented and discussed for different geometrical configurations according to the recommendations of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Deutsche Industrie Norm (DIN). The uncertainty of colour measurements is also presented. |
