| Zusammenfassung | Legal metrology plays an important role for the life and industry in Germany. Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, as the highest technical institution in the metrology area in Germany, the structure, the fundamental contents of legal metrology and the tasks of PTB are introduced. New verification laws in Germany issued in recent years are presented. The kinds of test, the contents of performance evaluation, and the criteria of acceptance for instruments from manufacture to application are introduced. An example is given to illustrate the technique and method used to evaluate the influences on flowmeters by piping. |
