| Zusammenfassung | A software package, named SPHERE, is described that allows the neutron response function or response matrix of a spherical proton recoil proportional counter to be calculated. The calculation by Monte Carlo techniques takes into account the truncation of the proton tracks by the counter wall and the varying gas amplification along the counter wire. The programs are written in FORTRAN and run on a personal computer under MS-DOS. |
