| Zusammenfassung | Within the framework of a Contact of the European Community entitled "Neutron Assay of Waste Packages" the properties and the behaviour of the 7Li(p,n)7Be neutron source proposed for determining the content of fissile materials in waste drums have been investigated. For the investigation, measurements were performed with recoil proton proportional counters, precision long counters and Li-glass scintillators using time-of-flight techniques. For further investigation of high-intensity proton beams, recoil proton and 3He proportional counters were used to determine the stability and the spectral fluence of the target-emitted neutron field. |
