| Zusammenfassung | Two platinum-iridium prototypes, no.55 and no.70, have been cleaned and their mass changes were monitored afterwards. Thereby, the cleaning method recommended by BIPM has been utilized. Over a period of approx. 400 days the mass changes after cleaning have been monitored through comparisons with the national prototype no.52 and the platinum-iridium standards no.15 and no.22 (former prototypes). Ellipsometrical measurements were carried out on the head surface of the prototypes before and after cleaning. |
