| Zusammenfassung | We describe a powerful Laser-Doppler Anemometer (LDA) designed for measuring flow velocities from an aircraft in flight. Heterodyne shift methods allow the use of two independent 1-Watt semiconductor lasers operating at 980 nm to form one measuring volume with a power density of up to 30×106 W/m² at a working distance of 0.3 m. The first flight experiments under hazy conditions were successful: signals with an SNR > 15 dB were detected with a rate up to 10 Hz, with on-line data processing, validation and storage. |
