| Zusammenfassung | A brief review is given of the results and projects of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in realising and improving the International Temperature Scale in the range from 0.65 K to 273.16 K. Both the techniques and apparatures used and the uncertainties achieved are described. Vapour-pressure thermometry, interpolating and primary gas thermometry, and realisation of triple points using sealed cells are the main fields of fundamental scientific activity. Most of the results are directly compared with those of other metrological institutes. |
