| Zusammenfassung | The uncertainty of the absorption coefficient determined in reverberation chambers was investigated using round robin data. The results from altogether 15 different test specimens were analysed which were measured in at least 11 reverberation rooms each. Test specimens cover thick absorbing layers as well as low frequency resonance absorbers. It was thereby ensured that the absorption coefficients cover the range between 0 and 1 at nearly all frequencies between 100 Hz and 5 kHz. The standard deviation of reproducibility was described as a linear function of the sound absorption coefficient with frequency dependent slope and offset. Finally, a procedure to calculate the standard deviation of reproducibility of the weighted sound absorption coefficient is derived. These procedures and the values of the frequency dependent slope and offset will be proposed to be included in a future part 2 of ISO 12999. |
