| Zusammenfassung | Using a low noise SQUID system, magnetic fields evoked by somatosensory activation of peripheral nerves were recorded over the lower spine. Averaging procedures have to be used to detect such weak signals. To perform weighted averaging, the variances and covariances of epochs were calculated. The distribution of the variances over the epochs allowed different noise components to be classified. The influence of disturbances in the recordings was reduced by weighted averaging. |
