Zusammenfassung Uncertainties as a topic have been receiving much more attention recently. The use and investigation of uncertainties in medical physics have grown to include a number of publications on uncertainty determination in radiation dosimetry for both external beam and brachytherapy applications. This chapter deals for both HDR and LDR applications with the uncertainty in the source, the uncertainty in the calibration and measurement, and finally the uncertainty involved in the source parameters, which would include Monte Carlo (MC) calculations. This chapter only deals with photon-emitting sources.
