| Zusammenfassung | The examination of the fields produced by modeis of extended current sources is of considerable interest for the interpretation and the analysis of biomagnetic measurements. The purpose of the present paper is to investigate size and shape effects of three-dimensional sources in more detail. The study is based on the current multipole expansion which is shown to be an effident method for the study of complex current sources. The results illustrate the strong influence of the source geometry on the magnetic field and indicate the meaning of higher order poles for the source analysis. |
