| Zusammenfassung | The low-energy electron storage ring Metrology Light Source (MLS), a dedicated synchrotron radiation source, is in user operation since April 2008 at operating energies ranging from 105 MeV up to 630 MeV. As a special option it provides coherent THz radiation when it is operated in a low-alpha mode with short electron bunches. At the MLS three beamlines dedicated to the use of IR and THz radiation were designed, built and commissioned: (1) An IR bending magnet beamline optimized for the MIR to FIR and (2) a dedicated THz bending magnet beamline. (3) An undulator IR beamline which provides edge radiation from NIR to FIR, and with the long period undulator U180 installed, high photon fluxes in the NIR and MIR (with wavelengths up to 20 μm for a minimum electron energy of 200 MeV). At the different beamlines FTIR spectra were taken for various operation conditions of the MLS, especially also for the low-alpha mode of operation. We present results from the commissioning of the IR and THz beamlines. [1] R. Klein et. al., Phys. Rev. ST-AB 11,110701(1-10) (2008). [2] M. Abo-Bakr et. al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 094801 (2003).
