| Zusammenfassung | The EURAMET joint research project ‘Metrology for New Industrial Measurement Technologies’ (NIMTech) aims to improve manufacturing capability by providing new technological developments in dimensional metrology. Five national metrological institutes have been engaged to work on two target objectives within the project. These are the traceability of complex geometrical structures from 0.5 m to several 10s of metres and the provision of numerical standards for the validation of the accuracy of mathematical algorithms. In this paper the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) presents their approaches to these as yet unsolved metrological issues. |
