| Zusammenfassung | A new reference calorimeter was developed under a GERG project. The project is in the phase of validating the envisaged measurement uncertainty of 0.05% for the superior calorific values (SCVs) of pure gases (e.g. methane). Improvements of the experimental setup such as a constant-temperature chamber and speed stabiliser for the stirrer motor are presented. Contributions to measurement uncertainty such as mass of water vapour, ignition energy, supply line correction, exhaust gas temperature, CO concentration and energy input by fuel and auxiliary gases are quantified. |
