| Zusammenfassung | The increasing use of magnetic nanoparticles in biomedical applications requires novel methods to analyse the distribution of magnetic material in different body organs. In this study the dipole approach is used to model magnetic nanoparticle accumulations in small animals after magnetic drug targeting. The radial magnetic field component of a dipole is calculated on a cylindrical surface, as it is measured by an existing cylindrical recording system surrounding the animal. Magnetization directions parallel and perpendicular to the cylinder axis are analysed, and the inverse problem of source reconstruction from the radial field pattern is considered. For both magnetization directions methods are presented to determine the location and the strength of the magnetic dipole. |
