| Zusammenfassung | Studies examining temporal characteristics of neural signal processing of visual stimuli across eccentricities show controversial result patterns. The present study recorded magnetoencephalographic signals (MEG) evoked by visual stimuli presented at different eccentricities. The global field power (GFP) method was used to examine the strength and latency of the cortical activity. The result clearly showed larger amplitudes and shorter latencies of less eccentric stimuli, indicating that the GFP method in combination with a proper normalization routine is effective to extract parameters of cortical neural signals. |
