Zusammenfassung Definitions in radiation protection dosimetry are mainly given by three committees - the Joint Committee for Guides on Metrology, JCGM, the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements, ICRU, and the International Commission on Radiological Protection, ICRP. The terms provided by these committees do not always show a 100% agreement between each other. If possible, the definition from a referenced source should be used exactly as in this source. If this is not possible, the modification should be clearly stated. This is shown for the example of the term "calibration".
