Zusammenfassung Spectral analysis and computer simulation are adopted to investigate the effects of morphological operations on different two-dimensional surfaces. We show, that the morphological operations act as fractal filters when the simulated surface owns a white noise spectrum, and the dilated surface exhibit fractal 1/ƒ scaling. By using this concept an equation between the tip geometry and the 1/ƒ scaling can be estimated.
