| Zusammenfassung | Previous efforts in pH metrology have provided a traceability chain for pH calibration materials from the highest metrological level down to the field laboratory level. The current efforts concentrate on appropriate protocols for the application of these materials in the evaluation of measurement uncertainty budgets. Cause-and-effect diagrams are shown for two-point calibration and multi-point calibration schemes. From a statistical point of view both calibration procedures do have their deficiencies which, however, appear to be of limited practical influence. Results obtained for the measurement uncertainty budgets by both pH calibration procedures are in the range 0.01 to 0.1 pH units. |
