| Zusammenfassung | The survey of the development tendencies clarifies that the main developments refer to the increase of productivity and of the accuracy of measurements. With the develoment of new materials, also new optimized hardness measuring methods are developed. Great efforts are being undertaken to enlarge the information content of hardness measuring methods. In this connection great prospects of success are expected from the instrumented indentation test. |
