| Zusammenfassung | The application of gravity zones for weighing instruments of medium accuracy has been well-tried in many countries for several years. Whereas gravity zones are normally classified by political boundaries, the European WELMEC has recommended a universal, multi-national zone concept which is accepted by all member states. A close analysis of the WELMEC concept shows that there is some potential for limiting the number of zones. On the basis of these results, this presentation introduces two new concepts, one with the focus on a stationary zone configuration and one with the focus on a flexible zone. A regular block model allows a complete zone model to be directly integrated into the weighing instruments. |
