| Zusammenfassung | This paper presents the characterisation of one pneumatic- and three SMA-micro-actuators. All actuators exert large forces and deflections whereas the response times reach a minimum of some milliseconds for the pneumatic micro actuator and 50 milliseconds for some types of SMA-actuators. All actuators are developed and fabricated at the Institute for Microtechnology, Technical University of Braunschweig. The measurements were performed at PTB using a set-up similar to the new three-axes characterisation-tool also presented on this conference. It consists of a commercially available force sensor connected to a high performance signal conditioning unit. The deflections were measured using a laser triangulation device. The exerted forces and deflections and the dynamic behaviour of the micro actuators were measured and will be presented in this paper. Long term durability tests were also performed and will be presented. |
