| Zusammenfassung | The temperature exponent p of the inelastic scattering length lin ~ Tp/2 for a disordered two-dimensional electron system subject to a strong perpendicular magnetic field is calculated in second order perturbation theory for electron-phonon interaction. Taking into account the mulitfractal properties of the eigenstates at the center of a Landau band, we find p = 2 + η/2 for a narrow quantum well and 1 K ≤ T ≤ 10 K in the deformation potential approximation. The quantity η ≈ 0.40 appearing in the exponent reflects the non-conventional correlations of the eigenstates. For piezo-electric coupling p = 2 for T ≤ 2 K. The temperature dependence of the energy loss rate for hot electrons is also calculated and compared with experiments. The electron-electron scattering rate of the non-localized electrons in the band center depends linearly on temperature. |
