Zusammenfassung We present the design of a multichannel SQUID system based on magnetorelaxometry for monitoring and quantifying magnetic nanoparticle (MNP) distributions in small animals. To estimate the expected signal amplitudes and to demonstrate the power of the method, the results of a first measurement after intra-arterial drug targeting application of MNP into VX2 rabbit squamous carcinoma are shown. In addition to the localization of the tumor, we quantified the amount of MNP accumulated in the tumor region.
