| Zusammenfassung | The dimensional properties of two piston-cylinder assemblies - one of the free deformation type used for the 400 MPa range and the other of the controlled clearance type used for the 1 GPa range - are directly determined and then taken into account in the calculation of the pressure distortion coefficients of these assemblies by the finite element method. The results are compared with those obtained for the model in which the assemblies are considered to be perfectly cylindrical. An analysis of the uncertainty of the pressure distortion coefficients arising from the measurement uncertainty of the dimensional data is presented. The work includes experimental results of piston fall rate measurements aimed at verifying the dimensional data and of cross float measurements carried out with two assemblies to check the consistency of their distortion coefficients determined by the finite element method. |
