| Zusammenfassung | Precision machine tools are frequently installed on a solid table made of granite or polymer concrete. It is also common practice to install the table on three dampint systems to prevent vibraton effects for the environment. As a result, the structure of a precision machine tool is of great weight and requires much space. The design of the new precision machine tool presented in this paper follows another approach. The machine has a working area 10 mm in diameter and 100 mm in legth and a total size of 400 mm x 600 mm x 250 mm only. A key feature ist the in-situ vibration analysis on the machine serving to optimize the manufacturing parameters. An y, z positioning accuracy of 0,1 ym and a spindle speed of up to 60000 rpm allow good surface qualities and small form and dimensional variations to be achieved. |
