Zusammenfassung A new optical line sensor for flow measurement with a high resolution is presented. The sensor based on a fiber optic Laser-Doppler Anemometer (LDA) uses an optical preamplifier to amplify weak scattered lightsignals. The neodymium 3+-doped fiber amplifier working at a wavelength of 1064 nm achieves a significant small signal gain of 40 dB for cw-signals.
