| Zusammenfassung | The aim of the three Round Robins on Room Acoustical Computer Simulation was to compare simulation results for existing rooms with results of reliable measurements in order to provide the developers with more feedback about the simulation software. The measurements of the room acoustic parameters according to ISO 3382, which should serve as a reference for the calculations, in some cases turned out to be less reliable than expected. Especially the spatial parameters LF, LFC and IACC showed significant differences between the individual measurements. On the other hand, the simulation results revealed to be strongly dependent on the knowledge of the absorption coefficients of the surfaces in the simulated rooms. Since until today no reliable technique is available for in-situ measurements of all relevant surfaces, the results of the simulations of the participants can be compared only with unified data which also have to be estimated by the Round Robin organiser. Detailed results of The Round Robins are available for everyone at the PTB Website: www.ptb.de/en/org/1/1401/-index.htm |
